Blog 3 – Hofstede´s model

Colombia and Germany show three dimensions with similarity and three dimensions of complete contrast, we frame in this blog the dimensions in which there is greater contrast. Regarding Individualism, we Colombians interdependently depend on the performance of our colleagues in terms of work, studies and others, while Germans are first aware of the results they achieve in different fields. Regarding Long Term orientation it is observed that Colombians never think about planning a better future, they just let things happen without long-term plans, contrary to the Germans who study and invest time in preparation making a high investment of time in his youth and then stabilize economically. One of the greatest similarities is Masculinity, Both Colombia and Germany are driven by a macho society, in which the value of competitiveness and the achievement of achievements are appreciated.
